Why rewards are verified after you travel

A reward confirmed at booking is a promise. A reward confirmed after the journey is a fact.

Four stages, and only the last one is spendable

A reward moves from saved, to eligible, to verified, to funded. Points are shown as pending until the last stage is done. Your available balance is only ever what you can genuinely put toward a flight.

Verification is what makes the points real

Flightly confirms the journey was completed before the reward is credited. This is what separates a travel rewards product from a prediction. It is also why a cancelled trip earns nothing, and why the balance you see does not move the moment you book.

Funding is the step most schemes hide

A verified journey still needs the partner to fund the agreed reward. Until that has happened the points are not spendable, and Flightly does not present them as though they were.

What this costs you

Patience, mostly. Rewards do not land the instant you book. In exchange, what the wallet calls available is actually available.
